What I’m doing right now
Here is what I’m doing lately. It’s inspired by nownownow.com and I’ve last updated this page on 17 February 2026.
Campaigning for a Smartphone free childhood
I’m committed to promoting a ‘Smartphone free childhood’ (smartphonevrijopgroeien) in my village and municipality. Together with a growing number of parents, we are working to change the norm: no smartphones until age 14 and no social media until age 16. I wrote this blog post about it.
The basics
- Working at SCOR Digital Solutions as programmer, leading our back-end team in Rotterdam.
- Coaching and training my sons team at the local soccer club.
- Cycling to the office on my race bike instead of my e-bike
- Looking forward to my regular Sunday morning game of futsal
Producing
- Editing the GoPro recordings from our summer holiday. The plan is to end up with three videos, one for each week.
- Editing my daily write-ups from our summer holiday
Consuming
- Reading ‘Overpeinzingen’ by Marcus Aurelius
- Reading ‘Practical Vim’ by Drew Neil
- Reading ‘Domain-Driven Design’ by Eric Evans
- Reading ‘De Bermudadriehoek van talent’ by Simon van Teutem
I keep track of books I’ve read on /read.
